Marco Ayulo, Jr., MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric critical care physician who brings years of experience and compassionate expertise to children facing serious or life-threatening illnesses. He is dedicated to delivering high-quality, family-centered care to patients at South Counties Pediatric Critical Care Medical Group, with offices in Fountain Valley, West Covina, and Long Beach, California.
Dr. Ayulo completed his pediatric internship and residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, one of the top programs in the country.
Dr. Ayulo previously served as the Director of Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care at Miller Children’s Hospital, where he led the care of children with complex heart conditions. His professional interests include the management of children with congenital heart disease and advancing international pediatric medicine through collaboration and outreach.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and is fluent in Spanish, allowing him to connect more deeply with Spanish-speaking families and provide care in their preferred language.
