Maria Imperial, MD, FAAP

Maria Elena Imperial, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric critical care physician with extensive experience in inpatient pediatric care, sedation, and critical care medicine. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to children and their families at South Counties Pediatric Critical Care Medical Group, with offices in Fountain Valley, West Covina, and Long Beach, California.

Dr. Imperial completed her pediatric residency and pediatric critical care fellowship at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, a nationally recognized institution known for excellence in pediatric training. She currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Irvine, where she plays a key role in educating and mentoring medical students and residents in pediatric care.

In addition to her clinical and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Imperial is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is passionate about ensuring children receive expert care during hospitalization and works closely with families to provide reassurance, guidance, and support throughout their child’s treatment.

Fluent in Tagalog, Dr. Imperial is proud to serve Filipino-speaking families in their preferred language, helping ensure clear communication and culturally respectful care.
